PUBLIC DATA. ONE SIMPLE LOOKUP.What an IP lookup shows
Every public IP address belongs to a block registered with one of five regional internet registries, such as ARIN or RIPE NCC, and is announced on the internet by a network with an autonomous system number (ASN). The ASN holder is usually the ISP, hosting company, or cloud provider.
WhoHostsIt combines routing data and registry records from RIPEstat with reverse DNS. The location comes from the MaxMind GeoLite database and is approximate: usually right for the country and sometimes for the city.
Common questions
Can an IP lookup find a person’s address?
No. IP data shows the network that owns an address and a rough location, usually where the provider is based. Only the provider can link an IP to a customer, and only for a legal reason.
How do I report abuse from an IP address?
Use the abuse contact in the results. Network owners publish it for reports of spam, attacks, and other misuse from their addresses.
What is an ASN?
An autonomous system number identifies a network that routes its own IP ranges on the internet, such as AS15169 for Google or AS13335 for Cloudflare. Enter one above to see the prefixes it announces.
